Implementation of Evidence-Based Psychotherapies for Chronic Pain and Chronic Mental Health Conditions

by Wei Denise Duan-Porter, MD, PhD ; Elizabeth Goldsmith, MD, MS ; Alicia Heapy, Ph.D. ; Jennifer Murphy, PhD
Seminar date: 5/25/2022

Description: In this webinar ESP investigators and operational partners will present evidence on barriers and facilitators to implementation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) for chronic pain. Although investigators sought evidence at the patient, provider, and system levels, data regarding patient barriers and facilitators were the primary results identified. The presenters will also share a few highlights from evaluations of implementation of CBT and ACT for chronic mental health conditions.

Intended Audience: Researchers, clinicians, and policymakers with interest in psychotherapies for chronic pain and mental health conditions.
