Nursing State of the Art (SOTA) Conference: Research and Policy Recommendations

Description: This presentation will provide an overview of the discussions at the Nursing State of the Art Conference held in November of 2023. The focus will be on the Workgroup recommendations related to optimizing nursing practice around pressure injury prevention, care coordination, and the social determinants of health; supporting the management of nursing through staffing and care models; and improving the environment that nurses work in.

Intended Audience: Nurses, clinicians, administrators, and researchers. This talk will be especially helpful to VA researchers interested in nursing related issues as it will provide an overview of the nursing research agenda which will later inform an RFA to be released in March of 2024.
