VHA Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW): Using CDW Data to Conduct a Research Study for SQL Beginners

Description: This seminar demonstrates conducting a simple study in the CDW using VA data, focusing on attendees who consider themselves to be beginner-level SQL programmers. Attendees who are new to the CDW are encouraged to watch the archived cyberseminar, VHA Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW): Using CDW Data to Conduct a Research Study. The last third has been rewritten for an audience of beginner-level SQL programmers.
Objectives:
• Review important CDW concepts
• Describe aims of example study
• Identify procedures associated with the study aim
• Determine CDW tables of interest
• Prepare beginner-level SQL code to pull the study data
