Advances in Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping to Assess Mild Traumatic Brain Injury

by Harvey Levin, PhD ; Rajendra Morey, MD, MS
Seminar date: 12/17/2013

Description: It is well established that FA is not a accurate measure of myelin integrity given that water diffusion is constrained mostly be axonal structure. Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) has been demonstrated as a novel approach for myelin specific imaging. Dr. Morey will present the latest advances in the application of imaging with QSM to evaluate myelin changes in mild TBI. Audience: Expert level.
