Veterans’ Experience of Menopause and Menopause-Related Care: State of the Research and Future Directions

Description: Almost half of women and gender diverse Veterans served by VA are aged 45-64, the age range most likely to be affected by the hormonal, biological, and psychosocial changes of the menopause transition. The menopause transition and post-menopause can be characterized by changing health risks, common menopause symptoms, and unique care needs. This Cyberseminar will include an overview of the historical context of menopause research, recent national initiatives in this area, the state of Veteran-focused menopause research, and future directions for menopause research and care in the VA.
