Description: In this presentation ESP investigators will review findings from a systematic review of team-based interventions to minimize distress behaviors among complex patients with cognitive and mental health diagnoses. They found that interventions that address health care worker education and skills and health care worker interactions with patients may improve patient quality of life, reduce antipsychotic use, and reduce distress behaviors.
Intended Audience: VA researchers and clinicians with an interest in support older Veterans with cognitive or mental health diagnoses that result in distress behaviors
