Description: Increasing attention has been devoted to the idea of justice as a conduit for the ethical inclusion of individuals in clinical research, including people with multiple intersecting marginalized identities. This presentation describes challenges posed, and opportunities provided, with pain pragmatic clinical trial designs, emphasizing approaches that optimize the inclusion of social identity groups that have historically been underrepresented in pain research.
