Special Populations: Homeless Veterans and Veterans Experiencing Intimate Partner Violence

Description: Dr. Dichter’s portion of the Cyberseminar will focus on women veterans’ experiences with intimate partner violence (IPV) and ways of identifying and addressing IPV-related service needs through the PACT model. Dr. Gabrielian's portion of the cyberseminar will discuss the early implementation of Homeless-Patient Aligned Care Teams (H-PACTs) at the VA facilities at West Los Angeles, Birmingham, and Pittsburgh. We describe these early clinic models, the characteristics of their initial respective patient cohorts, and use this information to suggest strategies for HPACT quality improvement. The target audience is Clinicians, researchers, and administrators interested in improving primary care for homeless Veterans
