QUERI Implementation Seminar
Updated QUERI Implementation Guide
QUERI Implementation Guide Committee,
Anne Sales, PhD, RN
Seminar date: 3/6/2014
Description: Implementation research is a new, dynamic, and ever-evolving area of inquiry. This past year, the QUERI Implementation Research Coordinators worked together to update the QUERI Implementation Guide; an excellent online resource. The objective of the updated guide is to present new and more firm approaches to conducting implementation research, while reviewing some of the prior approaches. This update was needed because the previous version was over a decade old and many new techniques and frameworks have been reviewed and published during that time. In order for implementation research to advance, researchers must incorporate the characteristics of rigorous science, which will be discussed. This Cyber Seminar will include discussion of: 1) implementation research frameworks, theories, and models; 2) how to diagnose a gap or problem and design an intervention; 3) methods used in implementing research into practice; 4) formative evaluation; 5) tools, toolkits, and resources for implementation.
Target audience: New and experienced researchers of implementation research.
