Description: The VIReC Database & Methods Cyberseminar Series presents informational seminars to assist VA researchers in accessing and using VA databases for research. Sessions will include information about: 1.) Different types of data and VA information systems; 2.) Uses of VA data in past research and new applications; 3.) Limitations of secondary data use in research; and 4.) Resources to support research use of VA data. Overview of VA Data, Information Systems, National Databases and Research Uses will introduce the series and provide an overview of VA data sources; data processing platforms and EHR (Read Only) Access Portals; polices governing research data access; and where to go for help.
