QUERI Implementation Seminar

The Minimum Quality Criteria Set (MQCS) for critical appraisal of the QI literature: Advancing the science of quality improvement

by Lisa Rubenstein, MD, MSPH, FACP
Seminar date: 1/8/2015

Description: Effective learning across related scientific investigations through evidence synthesis is critical to promoting evidence-based approaches to healthcare. Synthesis of findings from quality improvement intervention (QII) publications, however, poses challenges. We aimed to develop a critical appraisal instrument (the Minimum Quality Criteria Set or MQCS) to promote identification, dissemination and implementation of findings from high quality QII evaluations. Target audience is new and established researchers in the field of implementation science.
