Description: Dr. Kilbourne will present the description and difference between Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trials (SMART) and Adaptive Designs used in implementation studies (e.g., hybrids). She will also discuss Implementation strategies definition and key examples from this emerging field, and lastly the application of SMART/adaptive designs to testing different implementation strategies. Target audience: Health services researchers or leaders with some background in research or evaluation methods and a curiosity in how to design more patient-centered studies.
