Abstract:

Objectives: Describe the patient sociodemographic, preoperative risk, structure and process characteristics and clinical outcomes of patients undergoing mastectomies in VAMCs. Compare characteristics and outcomes for women undergoing procedures in VA facilities to that reported in the literature from non-VA settings.
