Abstract:

Presenters included a SMRB Chair and three reviewers (including Dr. Bruce Vogel). The workshop provided an overview of HSRandD's review and funding process, and demonstrated the proposal review procedure using a previously reviewed proposal as an example. Dr. Vogel gave a short critique of the subject proposal in the manner used in an actual Scientific Merit Review Board meeting. Following each reviewer's separate presentation, the group discussed the proposal and the various critiques to reach a consensus on the score.
