Abstract:

Description: This presentation will review findings from a large prospective national cohort study of racial and ethnic disparities in the mental health treatment of Veterans recently diagnosed with PTSD by a VA clinician. Findings will be discussed within the context of recent concepts in healthcare disparities research. Intended audience: researchers, administrators, clinicians and trainees interested in racial and ethnic disparities in mental health care and/or in the provision of PTSD treatment.
