Description: This Cyberseminar will present findings on rates of suicidal ideation and suicidal self-directed violence (SDV) among Veterans following discontinuation of long-term opioid therapy. Recommendations will be provided on the identification and management of patients at high risk of SDV, and ways to optimize opioid tapers to reduce the likelihood for onset of new, or exacerbation of existing, mental health symptoms. Intended Audience: Clinical and Health Services Researchers, Primary Care and Mental Health Clinicians.
