Description: The implementation of DaVINCI fuels new opportunities for conducting research and performing operational analysis with combined DoD and VA data. This session focuses on the implementation of the MISSION Act of 2018 and analysis of potential opportunities for referring patients to Military Medical Treatment facilities (MTFs) near VA facilities. Under the MISSION ACT, Congress has expanded access to care for Veterans, requiring that care be delivered within new access standards. If care cannot be provided within the access standards, it must be referred out. There are standards for both the timeliness of the receipt of care, and the average driving time to see a provider. This presentation will use the DaVINCI Source and OMOP data to review the services that MTFs are currently providing in selected markets, compared with the VA’s workload in these same markets. Intended Audience: This Cyberseminar will be designed to provide advanced training, information and support for VINCI users as well as the larger HSR&D research community
