Description: Drs. Shekelle and Gibbons will be presenting results from their systematic review assessing the cost-effectiveness of robotic partial nephrectomy and cystectomy as compared to laparoscopic and open approaches. Short-term and long-term clinical and functional outcomes will be presented along with comparative cost data. Dr. Wilson will be on the call as discussant. Intended Audience: Members of the clinical team who care for these urologic surgical patients (anesthesia, oncology, nephrology, and urologists) as well as robotic surgeons from other surgical specialties (general surgery, gynecology, as examples). Hospital and operative services administrators and leaders may be interested in our findings as well.
