Description: This presentation will provide an overview of Dr. Chen’s VA HSR&D Career Development Award and preliminary findings. Dr. Chen’s project focuses on developing a novel, peer support-facilitated intervention for connecting recently psychiatrically hospitalized Veterans to community activities for decreasing suicide risk. He will present and discuss preliminary data from qualitative interviews with recently psychiatrically Veterans regarding their current needs and barriers to engaging in community activities.
