Description: 2) This presentation will provide an introduction of several interventions designed to prevent suicidal behaviors among high risk patients. A conceptual model for developing and organizing suicide-focused interventions will be first be reviewed, followed by an overview of brief cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide prevention (BCBT), crisis response planning (CRP), and lethal means counseling. The intended audience includes mental health professionals.
