Implementation of Clinical Resource Hubs to Expand Access to Primary Care and Mental Health Services: First Year Implementation Progress, Challenges, and Facilitators

Description: Abstract: Beginning in FY20, VA implemented a national initiative using telehealth hubs in each VISN to provide contingency staffing in “underserved” clinics for primary care and mental health services. A national evaluation by a multi-site team in collaboration with VACO partners is currently underway. In this presentation, we will use survey and qualitative interview data to describe the Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) initiative and present data on first year implementation progress, and barriers and facilitators experienced by CRH leadership during the first year.

Target audience: Primary care leaders, frontline providers and staff, and researchers interested in telehealth, primary care innovation, and/or implementation science.
