Understanding VA-Purchased Community Care Claims and Referrals from the Office of Integrated Veteran Care Consolidated Data Set (IVC_CDS)

Description: This cyberseminar will provide an overview of the tables and data available in the new community care database (ivc_cds) from the Office of Integrated Veteran Care. Both claims and referrals (new!) data will be covered. The presentation will include a brief overview of the referral and claim process, what kinds of information are available in ivc_cds, and important information to know when using community care data in research; how the ivc_cds data fits within the community care data context will also be discussed.

Vilija Joyce, Ciaran Phibbs and Adam Chow of HERC, and Megan Vanneman (IDEAS 2.0 / ACCENT) will be available to answer questions during the audience Q&A.

Objectives:
1) introduce the new community care database (ivc_cds) from the Office of Integrated Veteran Care and situate it among existing community care data sources
2) share information on how to access the new community care database (ivc_cds) for operational and research projects
3) provide an overview of the tables and information available in the ivc_cds database
