Description: This Cyberseminar will introduce researchers to the new Patient-Generated Health Data (PGHD) database from the VA Office of Connected Care (OCC). The session is designed to provide researchers with an overview of PGHD and how this database may be leveraged for research and operations purposes. We will explore the database's structure, the types of data it contains, and important considerations when using these data. The presentation will also cover how to access the database for human-subjects research and QI/non-human subjects research.
Objectives:
1) Participants will learn what PGHD are currently being collected in this database, and VA's vision for PGHD in research and clinical operations.
2) Attendees will learn how to access and navigate the PGHD database, including insights into its structure and contents.
