Optimizing Veteran Decision-Making About Use of VA and Non-VA Health Care

Description: Recent transformations in healthcare financing and delivery within and outside of VA have presented Veterans with unprecedented healthcare choices. Yet, little is known about how Veterans are making decisions about using VA and non-VA healthcare, what information they want to use in this decision-making, and how the provision of information to Veterans about their healthcare options could be improved. This presentation will examine how Veterans are making decisions about using VA and non-VA healthcare and identify promising new strategies to better support Veterans in making well-informed, personalized decisions about their VA and non-VA healthcare options.
