Abstract:

An environment for knowledge authoring that links user information extraction requirements with representation required for NLP. Created web-based interface for domain ontologies. Software development on an updated version of Knowledge Author began in May of 2017 and is expected to be complete by January 2018. The changes to the IE-Viz data model necessitated some changes to the Knowledge Author database. Adoption by VA Facilities: Nationwide dissemination through VINCI New Research or Operations Funding to Further Develop, Test or Disseminate: CREATE funding supports this initiative. Led to or Shaped VA National Program or Clinical Practice(s): Shapes VA Clinical Programs by advancing the ability to rapidly and accurately identify specific medical conditions.
