Description: The presenters, Drs. Ahlness and Molloy-Paolillo, will review initial findings from the SCHOLAR QUERI, a multi-site evaluation of VHA’s electronic health record (EHR) transition from the homegrown VistA/CPRS to the commercial Cerner Millennium. Focusing on healthcare professions trainees (HPTs), the presentation provides an overview of user experiences through the transition to identify anticipated impacts of the transition on HPT learning and the VA’s training mission. Dr. Walton will reflect on the preliminary evaluation findings from VA Columbus and opportunities for further conversation about the EHR modernization impacts on HPTs.
