Natalie Hundt is a clinical psychologist and mental health services researcher at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC) and assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her PhD at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and predoctoral internship at the Salem VAMC before coming to Houston for a research fellowship at the South Central Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (SC MIRECC). After fellowship, she was promoted to a staff psychologist position providing psychotherapy services for PTSD, anxiety, and depression at the Houston VA Domiciliary, Homeless Program, and later the Post-Deployment Clinic. Her research interests center around increasing access to evidence-based psychotherapy for PTSD and anxiety disorders. During the course of her CDA, she will examine Veterans' perspectives on PTSD care in order to understand factors contributing to non-engagement or attrition from care and will pilot a peer support program to engage Veterans into evidence-based psychotherapies. She also serves in multiple educational roles, including Director of the SC MIRECC Psychology Fellowship and Psychology Associate Director for the Houston VAMC's Interprofessional Academic Patient Aligned Care Team (IAPACT).
